because i actually believe that america has incubated and catalyzed the growth of an incredibly diverse cultural monolith. there's no "failure" about it. cultural aspects from every foreign power which has contributed emigrants to america have assimilated into each other, imbuing the population with hyper-diversity over the course of what is in the grand scheme of things a very short time. the great american melting pot is no myth.

When I travel through the public and cities.. something just feels hollow about the environment. Strangers don't stay awhile and listen, seems like they have their own little world in their heads and they quickly rush through to get home.

I don't hear about people having traditions or routines anymore.. they are sporadic, confused or down in the pooper. This and more is why I don't feel America has a true, genuine culture.

well thats a poor basis on which to build that argument. your personal experiences are latently laced with bias. you need to look at the big picture, rather than the microcosm in which you live. throw out any presuppositions about culture that you might have and educate yourself on american history. we are an incredibly culturally diverse nation. that much is evident even in our modern media, twisted though those values may be.
