So what all has been done recently in regards to the Cartel? From what I've read a lot of activity has spread to California and new Mexico (not surprising) so obviously I'm for more boarder control. But im really asking what progress the DEA and Mexican government has made. Thousands have died due to the cartel, i don't even.

Unless martial law is brought down both in mexico and southern usa. With military taking over everywhere. They could curb the cartels into a small and non-existant group.

I doubt that would even work if drugs were still highly profitable by being illegal. You bribe the right people and you always have an operation. Our military bribed people in the middle east with Viagra.

Not for drugs but do decrease the brutality of the cartel. If they learn that touching civilians will bring a hammer down upon them they may mature up and play the game the modern big crime organizations sort of way.
