With a handful of minor exceptions, notice how all of Jill Stein's positions are basically Gary Johnson's, only better.

And if they disagree on anything, it's only because Gary Johnson is an idiot who thinks it's a good idea to abolish corporate taxes and shit. So any time they disagree, Jill Stein almost always has the superior position anyway. Funny, that.

Well, Gary has some pretty deplorable stances.

-abolish corporate tax
-eliminate federal wage standards
-offshore bank accounts
-government shouldn't be involved in health care
-coporations (Super PACs) allowed to donate to candidates
-raise social security retirement age
-expand offshore drilling
-solitary confinement for juveniles
-no environmental regulations to prevent climate change (this is the deal breaker for me)

Yeah, screw this guy.

Considering I haven't been following this too much (England), I never really knew much about the candidates until now except that they all suck.

And fucking hell, this one's gonna be really fun come november.

Well, I liked Gary until I saw several of his stances that are just completely idiotic (Dan already listed them), and Jill Stein is practically the same in most departments, but several of her expanded responses (the illegal immigrants using paid-for healthcare/schooling, Syrians, etc.) turn me off.

This election cycle's a shitshow

because Gary Johnson is an idiot who thinks it's a good idea to abolish corporate taxes and shit.
Except that's an incredibly good idea. . .

It makes absolutely no sense to try and tax the rich by taxing the profits of companies; ultimately the incidence is 0.8 on workers in the long-run, with the rest being paid for by the consumer with higher prices. Corp tax is stupidly regressive.

Well, Gary has some pretty deplorable stances.
The only reason you say this is because of your ideological priors, not because you actually have any knowledge of the thing in question. Which, in itself, is also pretty deplorable. (Not to say I agree with all of his positions).

Quote
-abolish corporate tax
-eliminate federal wage standards
-raise social security retirement age
These, for instance, are all solid policies with a ridiculous amount of evidence behind them.

EDIT: I also don't really see a problem with keeping minors in solitary confinement if, as Johnson's position indicates, they really are too dangerous to be around other inmates.

isidewith also has some new questions/has updated the candidates answers I think. Take the test if you can't be bothered to do what Verb did and calculate your level of agreement.

Vaccines are necessary and I'm not convinced that there's anything wrong with them. Obviously many people have reservations about them, with good reason. Everyone should question everything that's put into your body.

Of course, which is why I would support knowing what is going into our young bodies when it's time for vaccines.

No one is obligated to give their kids vaccinations.

Especially the ripoff that is the flu vaccine.

No one is obligated to give their kids vaccinations.

And I'm not obligated to respect that decision, nor should any reputable school board.

you primarily support an increased consumption tax and a change to minimum wage (can't think of the correct term), right?
Yeah, in general taxes on consumption and property/land are at the top of the list of good taxes. Although corporation tax in itself would be good to get rid of regardless of any other changes in tax code (barring revenue concerns).

As for the minimum wage, it's optimal level is a function of the size of a given area's low-income labour market (as well as some concerns over 'efficiency wages'). I don't really oppose having a federal floor, and absent any real progress on the issue the next-best thing would be a federal minimum of $10/hr, but for the most part it ought to be set by states/metro areas.

They really aren't. Vaccination requirements have been upheld as constitutional since as early as 1922.

You talk about economics, yet you're not a professional economist. Guess your stances on the subject aren't real.
