The news depresses me

Every night. Sometimes I don't want to watch it and remain oblivious to the world. Actually the more I watch it the more I feel life is meaningless. Just recently: the soldier gunned down in Canada earlier this week, the school shooting today in Washington, and of course ISIS and Ebola. Also Lindsay Graham the missing college student who was abducted and murdered by a disgraceful piece of filth. Then on my station they showed a story about two young girls that had brain tumors. One was only 16 and lost the ability to speak and had to be in a wheelchair. The other is a freshman in college, Lauren Hill, that hopes to get to play her first game soon on the basketball team.

These are just a few out of many I know, but it hurt to hear about them. I have my own problems, but none as bad as these things I see on the news. They make me feel guilty, but also extremely lucky. It is a weird sensation. But it makes very upset. I know life isn't perfect, but hearing these stories, it makes me not want to live in a world where that can happen. But I have to carry on living. That's my daily thought about how life is meaningless.

They found her body. My college professor used to work up in northern VA as a cop (Alexandria) so he still gets a lot of details about this case. He also worked on another case of a a deceased girl that's connected with the guy and the girl who was abducted. In fact, he said there's a serial killer/rapist that lurks all up there and one instance, a would-be victim got away, went to the police, they made a sketch of the guy, and he showed our class on Wikipedia. Somebody said that the guy that was recently arrested looked exactly like the guy in the sketching before being arrested

The news is going full retard.. where they ignore all the good things that occur and just talk about th bad stuff.. Thus creating more despair, negativity and further society decaying.

Thats why I stopped watching the news. All bad news with like a 1 min good story. Not worth it.

I've got enough to stress out about in my own life, screw everything else.

I remember the last time I watched fox news. It made me hate the human race and for a some of years I was wishing that the whole "2012 end of the world" would come true. But after recently watching an actually good new station called "Good Morning America" I actually kinda respect some people...not all news programs show nothing but horrible incidents. It is good to listen to a good long happy story every now and then, but we have to deal with the fact life is a terrible thing.

i couldnt care less about things that dont affect me. i dont really understand how it does affect some.
