Because they're the same thing? The humanitarian reasons only came into view after the claims about WMDs were proven false and thus damaging to the administration. They'd like us to think that they were the main reasons all along, but Bush didn't even support humanitarian intervention until it was convenient for him to do so. Instead, it was largely about the aforementioned WMD claims and general post-9/11 fearmongering, probably because the VP wanted to make a few bucks.

You're ignoring the vast wealth of information that indicates that those weren't the main reasons for the war, and we paid a price for that. We're still paying it to this very day. 2 trillion dollars, 12 years, countless lies to our allies and the general public all for political or monetary gain (which doesn't simply affect the US, you know--it became their problem too when they went along with it), millions displaced, hundreds of thousands of civilians dead, ~3,500 Americans dead, a terrorist threat helmed by the same folks we sought to take from power...
