Someone's holed up in a room with a high powered rifle. SWAT's on location at the moment. Residents are told to shelter in place.

Because this has become so commonplace I find it hard to view it as crazy anymore.

Do you think it would make a difference at this point? We know shootings happen on practically a weekly basis, but we honestly just don't seem to give a shit. The news puts a story on when there's some unusual tiddlybit, but I feel more and more that these are just filler stories nowadays.
