People are stupid.

Good
sure won't become a circle jerk in here.
I work in a classroom and don't do the pledge. I'm not a retarded drone. There are better, less degrading ways to be thankful or show your appreciation to one's country. Like donating money to a cause, volunteer work, etc
So is there any reason you linked to a blog instead of the actual story?
Land of the free.
You don't have to say it (though you should).
The nurse should be struck off, you don't refuse treatment to anyone especially over petty political beliefs.

I say one word and I am called a troll and told to be ignored. Real nice guys. Oh no someone has a different opinion than me!Why you ask? Because there have been hundreds of thousands who have died for our freedom to even stand in school and recite the pledge. It takes 10 seconds. It's not some brainwashing mechanism. It's a show of respect. But I wouldn't expect all you edgy teenagers to know anything about respect.
