Yeah, no shit. Liberal politicians (not necessarily liberals in general) pander to minorities, immigrants, and the poor with promises from a deluded fantasy-land full of easy money, unlimited jobs, and free social programs.

It's an interesting sentiment, and it may even be true, but I think issues in African American culture are a bit more complex than immigrants and other minority groups face, and thus harder to fix than by having a bidding war between politicians. And in the case of politicians, it's one thing to say you're going to do something, and it's another thing entirely to be willing to take action and have a plan.

I also find it fascinating that some of the members here that will "strongly agree" are also the ones that might "strongly oppose" Affirmative Action.
