Should women in the US have to sign up for the draft?

See you Cowgirl,

Fucking christ. The question was not to abolish the draft or not.
Well the draft shouldn't fucking exist. What's the country gonna do with all the young men/women of this generation who have no interest in being in the military anyway?
Same thing they did with them in the 60's. Not give a fuck about what they think and arrest them for fleeing to Canada.
Hey Atleast they were granted clemency.

Yes, in case there's an actual need to call upon drafting then the military needs more hands. Depending on people's capabilities, and physical conditions they can be put accordingly to proper use. Therefore, there is no need to prohibit women from the obligation of singing up.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
If you want equality you could have it either way as everyone has already discussed (all or none).

But if you were to draft women as well, what role would they be best suited. Comparing a perfectly physical fit man and woman is completely unfair considering both sexes' physical limits are different with men's being higher, making their physical strength the military's "default".

In previous news that they were to allow women in frontline combat roles, they stated that the requirements for them to join would be lower. Now, regardless of the best efforts of a woman, they will be a lower standard to men in the military, and therefore not as good. This isn't being sexist, it's plain fact.

So a role for women in the military could be put to use in any situation where strength isn't absolutely neccesary, i.e. Armour, Transport, Operations/Admin/(whatever the official title is of "mission planner"), support roles, etc. whilst men continue to take the roles where strength is a priority.

No.

I don't give a shit about this whiny 'but men have to' garbage. Or some sjw vs fedora internet fight. When it comes to war you don't fuck around. If you're calling a draft that means shit has gone bad, and men are just better equipped, mentally and physically, for being pulled off the street and going and killing other men.

Think about the people you know. Male and female. Now imagine you're wounded in a fight. Who do you want carrying your ass out of there?

You're not friends with any girls who could kick your ass?
Nope. I've no doubt they exist but we're talking ratios here. How many random men could kill you vs how many random women.

You really think an army of random civilian women is going to be effective vs something that killed all your professional soldiers?

You seem to be under the impression they will not get any training what so ever.  In hand to hand combat a woman with equal training is just as dangerous as a man.  The problem comes when they have to lug around lots of gear and be under lots of stress for extended periods of time leading to spine/joint problems and infertility.

Bane posting is dead tho waifus are eternal
If I am forced as a man to sign up at 18 a woman have to do the same. Equality means having to face the same things and expectations.  Holding women and men to the same standard is what true gender equality is.
