College students need to get over this ridiculous loyalty they have towards the sports teams of their college, college is a place to learn, not WW2 Germany.

The people attending college aren't the ones getting their pockets filled from the sports teams, its the college. My point was that since the teams are such cash cows, there's no way the school will turn its emphasis from the team(s) to the actual education when there's money to be made.
