God islam is fracking weird
That is true, there are alot of texts that call out Jews as traitors to god. And how they will be punished later on. The debate over what it means usually comes about from people who are trying to find excuses. But it is real. Kind of like some of the texts in other religions. The hadith though its strength is unknown to me, mainly is it a properly recorded one or not. Not from the Quran though but from the Sunnah. Still not an excuse for me to persecute Jews.

The thing is since both Christianity and Islam are based off of Judaist scripture both religions have to justify their existence. The easiest way to do this is to say that the Judaists strayed from the path of righteousness and that god has grown a new nation to punish them.

That only applies to Islam. Christians and Jews are supposed to believe essentially the same things, according to scripture. It's just misinterpretation that leads Christians to believe they replaced the Jews.

No it's not. Christians believe Christ was the saviour where as Jews do not. Thus the Jews have absconded from God's righteousness according to Christian doctrine.
