Really kind of a meh list for me. I tend to align with Obama on most issues. Been a registered Dem since I turned 18. Fairly moderate. Probably most closely aligned to Hilary out of this group, but really don't care for her and would prefer to avoid another Clinton/Bush. Dynasties shouldn't be a thing.

Sanders is bit more to the left than I am. Though I do tend to admire his consistency and agree with him on a number of issues. Frankly just don't think he has the personality to build a winning coalition tbh. Not to mention the amount of gridlock that would result from an actual socialist president and a conservative congress. Will be interesting watching the dem primary debates though.

On the Republican side Rand Paul is the only sane option of the announced three as far as I'm concerned. Even then he holds meh views on net neutrality, global warming, etc. He's fairly libertarian as far as the conservatives go though. Pushing for Republicans to let up on gay marriage, legalization of pot, etc.

Rubio is your standard conservative which just doesn't click with me on a number of fronts, and Ted Cruz is insane. Haven't read up too much on the other potentials at this point. Just wondering what the rest of your thoughts are.

Ruze Cruz is too socially conservative, Rand isn't really a libertarian and shills for the Koch bros, I don't know much about Rubio.

I don't align with any party, but pretty much every time I've told anyone about my most important political values, they've identified me as a libertarian.

I'm more concerned with it in a social sense, like the right to be a prostitute, take hard drugs, or kill yourself/consenting others. I don't really care about the issues most libertarians in power these days are preaching...the economic side of it.

So I guess I'd be more of a radical liberal then a libertarian, but I've never seen a mainstream Democrat come even close to representing my ideals, whereas people like Gary Johnson sometimes do.

The difference (assumptions) between being a Liberal and being Libertarian is that Libertarianism implies a more laissez faire approach to economy, while Liberal more implies the Government taking a slightly more hands-on approach.

Personally, I'm hoping for a Biden/Obama ticket.

If Obama was allowed to run for another term, I'd totally vote for him.

He can run as VP. The Constitution only restricts being elected for a third term; if Biden died, Obama could take over just fine.

Yeah, but what are the chances of Biden actually taking office?

He'd be 73/74 by the time elections happen, so if he was a 2-termer, he'd be out when he's 81/82. So he's really racking up the years now.
