One thing you have to respect about Sanders

No matter how you feel about his policies, you have to respect that he's come this far with no Super PAC financing. Corporations all hate him. To get this much support from everyday people? That in and of itself is a feat.

That actually really doesn't say much at all, really. Use the right words and you can gain a lot of support on your own. Hell, use stupid words and you can gain support because there's a lot of stupid people out there.

What's truly respectable about Sanders though, really, political stuff aside, is that he seems like a genuinely decent person. He's just not cut out for politics.

I beg to differ on this. If anyone could do it, more would. And I think he's better cut out for this than anyone else has been since Eisenhower.

He's supported by Amazon, Google, IBM, Facebook, Microsoft, and many others. A lot of super PACs have supported his campaign as well; his campaign just doesn't have one they officially control.

Regardless of if Sanders wins or loses the primaries, he's already had a lasting impact on the way the Democratic party positions itself. He drove it more left and more focused on populous issues. He's doing to Hillary Clinton, what Trump and Cruz did to Jeb Bush (and that is making a moderate either adapt to the further left/right movement, or be stuck in the middle and fade out).

Actually, many people (especially in universities, from what I've gathered) seem to think that Sanders is going to storm into the White House, and within the first 100 days, we're going to start seeing change.

Yes, it's big dreams, and Sanders talks a big talk. But you are essentially electing a guy who is going to simply do that - talk. And if Sanders was the nominee versus someone like Rubio or Cruz, I would honestly consider voting for the other person.

Getting shit done in an already horrible cesspool, won't fix anything. Sanders base message is people are frustrated with the asinine government. Same with Trump. They're both insanely similar, but on different parties.

Maybe in previous years long since passed, there was such a thing as an okay politician. In present times that's not the case. Being a politician is like sitting on a big ladder. And in order for you to get to the top, you've gotta kick all the other fuckers off the ladder because they're all gunning for the prestige of the same spot. It's a competition.

I don't want to say elitism, or classism, but I wouldn't know any other words to put it in context. But there's a lot of that in politicians. My problem with them is that they live in a partially fictitious world. They're caught up in the "social life" of being a politician.

Putting on the fake bullshit show as if they're really invested in their job or as if they really give two shits or even know what the fuck they're talking about half the time. For instance. Take Rob Ford. The previous mayor of Toronto I believe.

There was a big stink a while back about him getting into drugs. So there he was, sitting in court, along with all the rest of the various political figures of toronto. Now, he said something, which I guess was funny. Not funny haha, but he got the other political figures laughing at him.

And through the whole thing, looking at the people there in that session. You know that Ford wasn't the only guy doing shit behind the scenes there. But they ganged up on him like a pack of fucking wolves. And fucking hell were they all more than happy to toast his ass when he was up on the spotlight.

Most politicians these days are cunts. It's not a requirement for the job. But in a way it is. In order to be a politician, and to get to the top, you have to be ruthless. It is so, sooooo, fucking fake. You see these people shaking hands or smiling at each other but you practically have to check and see if they're not holding daggers behind their backs.

And that's their little social circle. Disconnected from the rest of the world. And it gets in their way of them doing their actual job.
