I bring this up because I've spent a good amount of time in Kansas, and even though I'm from one of the most conservative areas of California, Kansas is a whole different place.

I don't see any problem with this.

Never said it was a problem, just giving the landscape. Kansas isn't exactly your BFF if you're a liberal, a minority, and not an outspoken Christian Evangelical. Considering Obama is all of those things, the picture that was posted doesn't particularly surprise me.

The joke is that he has big ears, not that he's a monkey. That's been part of his political cartoon image for the past 9 years. Again, it's unprofessional and offensive, but it's not racist.

Completely serious here, I'm not trying to argue semantics. There is no Mexican race, nor a latino race. They're not ethnically or genetically homogenous. 'Mexican' is just not a race or even an ethnicity; the U.S. doesn't recognize it as one, nor does the UK. So yeah, he's not a racist (and it's kind of silly to accuse someone of being so for passing along a typical, shitty meme on FB).
