emigrate or degenerate. the choice is yours
idk why people get worked up about them. All they do is autistically sabre rattle. Worst comes to worst they attack Alaska or any other sovereign nation within their shit tier nuclear proximity and they get butt rammed by every other militarily relevant country in the world sans maybe China.

The only people that really lose out are, ironically enough, the people of NK, which is a shame, because their demise will be at the behest of a mental buttergolem.

Funny thing is I think the South Korean do not care anymore. Also looks like the US has failed to stop the Korean Nuclear program and Korea has reached a point where the US cannot do shit.

Kim Jung Un for how stupid he is has finally checked the US.  Five years of quiet when they are done and expect once they have enough nuclear weapons to stop their program, leading to sanctions being dropped.

They won't be. It'll just increase tensions. They are basically banking on hoping the US will talk to them face to face, but they won't.

The remaining question is if they have the guidance system and telemetry to hit the targets. If they do... then this is scary. The only source of comfort is that they could only have a very limited supply and the world's reaction could be total condemnation and immediate retaliation. Hopefully San Diego isn't a first tier priority target.

DPRK has no reason to preemptively strike the US. Well, they do, since we wiped out a fifth of their population during the original war in order to prop up the capitalist SK government, but they know it would be suicide to strike anyone. They're arming themselves for defense, just like Cuba did. The US and its allies are the ones we need to worry about. Trump is likely to initiate a bombing campaign because China is probably not going to defend DPRK; they'd benefit from the capitalist dystopia that would arise in the territory after the government is toppled and would face less scrutiny from the US. History should inform us how these US campaigns usually go...

How many could the norks realistically hope to launch at once? I've got enough faith in our interception capabilities to not be bothered by this at all.

I'm sure we could shoot down any and all missiles they send our way. Might be bad to retaliate the same way though. Anywhere we hit them could end up hurting China/SK. We'd probably have to do regular bombs with troops invading.

Also Trump said "If NK threatens the US again they will be met with fire and fury the likes of which the world has never seen" About 40 minutes ago, NK said they're planning to strike Guam. Sure hope nothing comes of this.

I think North Korea is more likely to ICBM themselves knowing their history of missile tests.

Nothing will. The South Korean have dealt with this for decades. They live their lives like nothing is going to happen. Cause nothing will. The Americans will not invade cause invading costs way more than they can gain. Plus it brings in the Chinese and you do not want another story of the American aggressor going around.

Debatable. Even China is rather sick of NK. The only benefit they see with NK if that they're a buffer state. If anything, the US would tell China they're going in no matter what and China would topple the current regime and install a China friendly government that's not so atrocious with human rights.

China would but the way they have been delaying has meant they do not care until the US actually invades. Which I really doubt the US will do. Unless we want a more bloody conflict with higher casualty count than the Iraq war.

Also an invasion that harms Japan and Korea will only create a humanitarian crisis bigger than Syria and make alot of nation's hate the US. For now this battle is a battle of rhetoric. Until someone actually fires a bullet and troops actually land on North Korean soil I will ignore all talk about it.

Da Husk.
TBH I think the government is going to false-flag an excuse to steamroll NK just like they've done many times in the past like with Iraq and 'Nam. I support the Korean War, but it should be reignited on South Korean and Japanese terms, Not the US. If the US goes in boots on the ground, guns blazing, then it would be a disaster. We wouldn't be seen as liberators at all. We'd be seen as rapists and imperialists as a result of all the North Korean propaganda. North Korean soldiers would fight to the very bitter end. It would be like WW2 Japan all over again. Thousands of American soldiers would die, and untold millions of North and South Koreans would be killed. Kim needs to go, but what I think our government is planning is absolutely the wrong way to go about doing it.

KJU's got a sweet gig going on in NK and he knows the second he makes an aggressive act, it's over. This is just more seasonal saber rattling. The guy's not a fucking idiot; he recognizes that the U.S. is the top dog in the regime-toppling business.

Sadly I think the world is safer with NK having nukes than Israel. China is allies with NK, but I think they will drop them faster if something happens than the US drooping Israel. If Israel nukes Palestine simply for being Palestine the US would most likely support them all the way despite that attack happening.

probably

You might say this because juche socialism leads to starvation and poverty, and therefore fewer humans able to reproduce, but it's actually led to measures restricting forms of birth control in order to increase the population rate. It's much less anti-natalist than the alternative.
