So it wasn't full blown non consentual type deal then. That honestly eases me up a bit. I saw the title and had a bad feeling that it wasn't a news article link. Although I'm not trying to trivialize the situation, you're damn lucky that his roommates showed up.

Do you have any plans on dealing with recurring meetings if you bump into the fellow again? I guess if he does show up you can let him know that you can press charges if pressed.

I'm sorry to hear about it though. Trust isn't something usually given away so easily and to have it broken like that when you're exposed is...well, not good. How're you dealing with it?

The statistic on my campus is 25% of women encounter sexual assault (I think it might be at parties).
When I was in the dorms I knew someone who raped two women in the same weekend. The police came to the dorm and escorted him out.

"I'll take care of things" is like one of the creepiest things you could say in those circumstances.

I really don't see how that's your fault. Is he unrtrustworthy? That's the only way I could reasonably justify wanting to meet him on campus. We're not all assholes, some of us really just want to chill without the Netflix.

Problem is that Icy doesn't have much of a case. Reporting sexual assault is always the right course of action, but this is essentially a "he said - he said" kind of deal. Icy's word against his, with no visual signs of sexual assault or witnesses. Unless the other guy has priors, there's not much that can be done about this.

Sexual assault is a scary thing, I dont think anyone would blame you in being scared to be more forceful then you could have been, not your fault he tried to rape you, its his. It doesnt matter if you're heterosexual or not it doesn't change the situation and you should report it.
