The majority of people who use this board are more right wing than not, but I wouldn't say the whole site is that way. There's also a great deal of independents/moderates. I'd say they make up the majority of the site.

i consider libertarianism to be more extreme than conservatism, so that's why i have libertarians tiered higher

The way you think. Just look at that other thread. Your whole notion of the strong and the weak, about power and drive being the most important, about competition being the defining trait of progression, etc. Those are all conservative concepts, and you base a lot of your other views around them.

I disagree with social conservatives on a lot of issues, but on the macro (or cultural, if you like) issues they have something of value to say about things like the Protestant work ethic, the importance of social order and the value of in-group loyalty. And this isn't the esoteric ramblings of bigots, it has a fairly solid empirical basis in social psychology.

You can delineate between "smart" and "stupid" values and pin the stupid values like opposition to gay marriage on the social conservatives, and then claim the latter doesn't exist. . . But it's pretty clear it does exist in a politically meaningful way, and it's disingenuous to disregard the entire thing by redefining it into a paradigm of stupidity.

Mordo is consistently ranking highly, why? He doesn't come across as that conservative to me. Although to be fair, I haven't noted any of his recent posts.

i'm reading old political compass test results, and he always tends to be further right than anyone else
