See you Cowgirl,

Let's look at our military compared to our police force.

This is a group of police on patrol in Ferguson
This is a group of soldiers on patrol in Iraq

Here are soldiers on patrol, note their weapons are down and the relaxed postures of the soldiers
Now here is a police patrol in Ferguson, note their weapons are drawn and their aggressive posture

Here troops in Ferguson are dealing with aggressive rioters, again note their relaxed posture and lack of excessive military equitment
Here the police are dealing with rioters, note their aggressive stance and their weapons are drawn for no reason

What's to discuss. Police are garbage.
Calm down Camnator.

OT: I guess shows how scared the police there are and what they think is needed to keep riots in check.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
Insecure fat men trying to look tough. Fucking pigs.

Obviously not all cops are bad, I'd just like to clarify.

Still our troops have to deal with the threat of IEDs and you don't see them being as aggressive as the police.

You posted very distorted perceptions of reality

Troops are aggressive when they are faced against direct opposition, just as how the police are squared up against protesters. You also see police act in a aggressive/defensive manner when in an actual hot zone, like Ferguson currently is

Don't be upset with the police, be upset with the people who have turned to violence and criminal activity as they were the ones who provoked this sort of response

What happened to proper weapon conduct which the military seems to be good at but not the police.

This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.
I wouldn't expect the police to be acting in any other way.

That said, their militarisation is worrisome - I just don't blame the officers.

Agreed. This entire movement to turn the police into, what is essentially a mini-military, is counterproductive to work on the problems in that field.

Again, respond to something in a violent manner then you will be met with aggressive force. I don't think this is a pretty sight, but it's needed when people are violating the lives of others

Think those were a bit outrageous. However, these are seperate; in Ukraine we saw obvious government corruption so there was a basis for protesting. Ferguson is a pathetic excuse just to steal and destroy property as the grand jury fkund Wilson to be not guilty and this no basis for a criminal action. Notice how his record was never brought up, because he never had a problem which shows no racial bbaud. He also never used his weapon before

Bolded and underlined one part.

Yes, the protests center on the Michael Brown case - but these protests are not just about a lack of indictment (You may think of it as such), but it is also about a blatant lack of trust between minority communities across the country, and the police officers that are supposed to be protecting them.

Hell, you're seeing it in New York City now with that lack of indictment. If you think this issue is as thin and dry as you say it is, with "Oh they want to loot and steal, they don't care about anything", you're in the wrong.

That BY case is something to be upset about. The officer did have a dirty record and it was caught on film that what he did was wrong

Watch the ABC interview with Wilson and you can tell through his sppech and appearance that he wasn''t out to do anything wrong. He has been patrolling the worst part of Ferguson and has had no issues with the public

Where did I mention Wilson at all? It's not just about him - it's about a lack of trust in the system in general revolving minority communities versus police.

Police shouldn't have to be armored up. If the situation is as such, there's a reason the national guard exists. Let them deal with it.

Just an interesting little point to note >.>

The expression on the guy holding the M(numbersherei'mnotagunnut) rifle in the foreground stood out quite noticeably >.>
So I got my book on this sort of thing, went over some of the examples and it does appear that it's disgust/contempt.

Now, that's not the sort of reaction you want to see on someone who is supposed to be keeping the peace. That's the sort of reaction you would see on someone who views the rioters as subhuman scum.

Just a little bit of speculation, but you compare his face to the colleague immediately to his right (Our left) who is a bit more calm and collected about the situation (With what appears to be worry/concern) and it's not hard to predict which of the two is more likely to start shooting.
