Well it's better than doing fuck-all of nothing and hoping to achieve better results, which is what our previous system was.

A better system would to be reducing standardized testing and to allow more freedom in the learning structure. Rigid schedules are the detriment of creative thinking.

But it's also important that those free learning structures aren't too liberal and you find 12 year olds who don't know how to read, which is why a demanding class schedule is important.

Well, apparently my sister is a liar, then, because there was another weird image showing some crazy-ass method to solve some math problems, and she confirmed that that's how they do math now, so...
