As it is currently used, not at all.

As it should be used, as a politically minded extension of being tactful, then I don't see a problem with it. But enforcing it is stupid and an utter waste of police time.

Balance is important.
Too much political correctness is bad, but so is a complete lack of such. We may all have thicker skins here, but the rest of the world doesn't. Common decency and all that.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
When it is used to show respect about something/someone you know little about and could offend to the point of a fistfight it's ok.


When it's hindering discussion that needs to be done or important work (such as police work or national policies), then something is seriously wrong.

To a certain extent. Institutional political correctness can be beneficial to minorities in trying to obtain employment.

Social political correctness on the other hand? Ehhh, not so much. I feel like its just the pet project of the SJW in an attempt to right the world of wrongdoings, when all it's really doing is curtailing speech, and trying to turn everyone into silhouette cardboard cut outs.
