If you're here illegally, then get the fuck out. Simple as that.

"hur hur das racest"

Lol, stfu. I'm Hispanic, and half of my family is 1st and 2nd generation legal immigrants. None of us feel sorry for people that don't wait their turn and break the law
Do you think the legal immigration process should be as prohibitively expensive and long as it is now?

It can come down in cost a bit, but not dramatically. The fees are what allows the USCIS. More than 90% of operating costs come from these charges and if they didn't exist or were greatly reduced, then money would have to be used from taxes collected or raise taxes. And that simply isn't an option, like it or not. There's talk of reducing the debt but spending won't solve it and people don't want to pay more in taxes. It's not a requirement to become a U.S citizen and if a person wants to become one that bad, then they need to pay for it

In order to start the application for citizenship, you have to have a green card and live around 5 years in the U.S. No problem with that at all. But there's a yearly number of people who can get citizenship, so depending where you're from then it can take a while but we simply can't just let everybody in the country. The U6 unemployment rate is over 10% currently and the economy is still in a mess, bringing in even more people won't fix a single thing.

Spoiler
Story time: College professor told us about a friend he has. Friend's wife got transferred in her job to a U.K office and they moved their. Professor's friend figured he'd get a job, went to apply, and they basically denied him immediately because he wasn't a British citizen and they're wanting to save jobs for Brits, which I see no issue with; the people of the nation should ALWAYS have the first choices
