Transhumanists are people who seek to improve the human form/condition with any range of mechanics/bionics/genetic engineering/augmetics/selective breeding/eugenics and a few other things. In my version, it's about recognising the flaws of being a meatbag and seeking to remove/improve those flaws with robotics/augmetics.

Not being some lunatic who has plastic surgery to look like a cat. That's tumblr stealing the term that's been around since Science fiction started to explore ways to escape the fate of a meatbag.

Transhumanism is basically what the Deus Ex games are about. Mechanically augmented people, essentially. Cyborgs(?)

Otherkin/furfaggotry is what your OP is about. Honestly, I'm still kind of sketchy on the transgender thing (only in Tumblrfag cases where they're a mix of thirty different "genders" and it makes no goddamn sense), but identifying as a completely different species is just straight-up moronic.

and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,

I suppose we all thought that one way or another.
