The logistics of trying to coalesce all 50 states under one authoritarian banner would be so astronomically difficult given how America has, and always will emphasize individualism.

But eliminating those variables, and under the hypotheticals, the closest I could potentially see America reverting to would be Libertarian Marxism, and even that's a stretch.

However, luckily for us there has been a noticeable increase in those who identify as "unaffiliated", and a decrease in Christianity (-7% within 7 years). This implies that people are waking the fuck up. Which is nice to know that our generation isn't completely fucked and not brainwashed children of the '50's.

Christians would never comply with communism being that it was founded on secularism and Marx himself was an athiest.
