Merely giving my opinion. If you get along with someone and have been friends for ages, then suddenly find out they don't hold the same political/religious/whatever ideology as you, and subsequently start treating them like shit then you are the shit person in that equation. That's the behavior of an extremist. Pretty obviously too. Classic echo chamber mentality really. That's what they teach you to do in Scientology and other cults. Cut the other people out of your life.

Now if the other person is the extremist and are putting pressure on the friendship then that's obviously a different situation. Pretty basic concept I thought.

That's all the evidence I need to know there's no point in arguing. I've locked enough threads with him and chose not to get meta's locked.
