At what point is it acceptable to fire someone for health issues?

I have a boss. My boss's boss has some long-term health issues that have been keeping her out of the office for 2-3 weeks at a time, which has happened at least 3 times in the last 6 months.

To my knowledge, you can't fire someone simply because of their health issues, but this is becoming a real issue for the workflow of our organization.

You should be able to fire somebody for almost any reason provided they're the cause of some sort of disruption.

I'm sure there's a way around it, like citing unsatisfactory performance or something...

When it regularly stops them doing what they re doing (IE somone missing because of health reasons a few times a year= fine, someone doing it every few days=bad)

If you're overweight and it's disrupting the workforce and you refuse to do anything about it seems like a feasible reason.
