Pretty sure Krauss posits that only at the beginning of the expansion of the universe was there nearly equal amounts of antimatter to matter, and that there was marginally more matter, so when the two reacted and subsequently destroyed itself, we were left with the remainder of matter which is what constitutes the universe as we know it, and that any antimatter we observe today is a result of reactions after the fact.

I dunno though, I'm no physicist.

I'm not overly familiar w/ it but I think it's just that a fluctuation event in the vacuum is what caused the initial inflation from whatever initial vacuum state existed before our Universe as we know it. In quantum field theory the vacuum actually possesses a non-zero energy and this could have fluctuated in accord w/ quantum probability. . .I think. Like I said I'm not overly familiar w/ it.

Here's a stupid side question I have because I'm really uneducated on physics, if the fundamental forces are a constant, active application of force, doesn't that mean they're supplied by an unlimited amount of energy, seeing as you need energy to create force?

Energy is constant, but can be transformed. I don't see how you're making the leap that things with gravitational fields need an unlimited amount of energy. It seems to me to be a closed system, regardless. There needn't be a constant "stream" of energy because nothing is lost in the exertion.

As I understand it (and I don't claim to know a lot about it) the reason that we're here is because, for some reason, the amount of matter in the universe was greater than the amount of anti-mater by a tiny portion. When they cancelled each other out, everything else is the leftovers.

As Cheat said, 1 out of every billion particles survived the matter war. Antimatter is fact, because positrons (the anti-electron) have been observed before.
