Of course not. But if we're taking into account that supposedly, red universally means "bad," then by that logic walking into a building with a big red fucking sign on it is probably rather stupid of you. It just seems like you're being nitpicky over the colours they picked, when frankly, it could mean just about anything.

You know how pressure gauges are based right? A low colour like green on the bottom, with a red colour being higher, up at the top.

Same with the weather network. Lows are green, highs are red.

I mean, there's AOC laws in effect for this case because Florida is dumb, but assuming there weren't, how many of you would be okay with the school just terminating the teacher's career and leaving it at that? If her relationships were legally consensual? If it was a male teacher?

It's unethical for a teacher to fuck students, but the sentence is way too much. Also at 17 you're more than ready to have sex, especially boys. Sucks for her, but I would have made the sentence maybe 5 years at the most. It's not like she's molesting toddlers.

Does anyone know about what teacher's contracts say in Florida? I'm pretty sure in my state teacher's contracts mention something about immediate termination if they obtain any personal/sexual relationships with their students. Did she violate any contracts? >.>

Now that doesn't really relate to the fact that the legal age of consent is 18 in FL. You should have moved out of the panhandle too late.

In Georgia teachers have just lost their jobs, and some jail time like a year or so for sleeping with students, but not 22 years.

I wonder how many of these relations were actually mutual. What were their stories? >.> the world may never know...

A 17 year old being underage is dumb anyway. The majority of America has the age of consent at 16.

Men getting worse punishments for stuff like this than women generally do doesn't justify this ridiculous sentence. It only makes the problem worse.
