Here are a couple "what if" questions about history.

History is always fascinating subject, so I have wondered.
What would have happened if certain events in history didn't happen, or ended up differently?
It's a very interesting question, but you could never really know right? I'm still going to ask you anyway.
What do YOU think would have happened if these events in history went a little different?

What if Vladimir Lenin stayed in power of Russia, and Stalin was unable to influence him?

What if Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Hungary? Not in Bosnia?

What if Napoleon never went to Russia?

What if Adolf Hitler gained control of Germany, but kept his power and influence inside of Germany not invading any other country?

They would have came to him. The were involved for ten years before the 1812 invasion, though mostly supporting and supplying. The armies were still trying to mobilize when the war of the third coalition was going on and Russian forces weren't really involved in combat until Napoleon was in Poland.

Everybody knows that alternate history scenarios are based on conjecture and imagination. That doesn't mean they aren't useful or fun. There's no need to be sour towards everyone for no reason.

Russia may have started WW2 or some type of war for more land. They were building up their military and during WW2 they invaded Poland and after the war they occupied more countries. So to me it would be safe to say Russia would have started something.

What if the results of the elections after Vietnam's independence from France (1945) went smoothly?

Either no war (because some Christian/Catholic loving capitilaist got into power and the public actually voted for him), or the US starts "liberating" on more of an uphill climb (e.g. if Ho Chi Minh went stright into power).

While the Archduke was beloved by many, the response to his death was opportunistic, not emotional. AH capitalized on his untimely demise to finally rid themselves of Serbia. To that end, it makes absolutely no difference where he died so long as they could implicate the Black Hand in it.
