Sep7agon, have you experienced heightism in your life? Do you believe there is a "heightist" culture in the first world, one in which short people (especially short men) are at a social disadvantage because of their height? Do you think it's a crock of shit and there's not enough empirical evidence to support the idea that certain first world cultures have a vendetta against short people?

I really think that this whole shit about height is kind of stupid.  I think the people who say they are short and can't get girls are likely just completely autistic or just lack any confidence. 

I pay no mind that because I've been around shorter people before. Specifically ones who could take all that shit flinging that goes around about height and mop the floor with it.

I think it's just some internet meme fad bullshit circulating around with retarded kids.

Your height literally means almost nothing, except for being able to reach either high or low places. That's it.

Never experienced it but then again I'm about average height (5'11"/180cm). Used to be the shorter kid in school but I was never bothered by it.

Most of those people on that sub look like they have some bitterness towards taller people and feel they have to prove themselves... literally small-man syndrome. Half of the top posts are a picture of short guy with his tall gf and how great their life is.

Yeah. A lot of the discussion on that sub seems flavored by personal experiences and the biases that stem from them. Still, it's an intriguing thought. I think at the very least it's plausible to think that, in America or similar first world cultures, shorter men have worse luck when it comes to sex/relationships. But we'd need empirical data to make a real judgment there.

Taller people are paid more on average and considered to more competent/intelligent etc.

ive always felt awkward in public because of how big i am. there no way for me to walk into a room and everyone not immediately see me. im not just tall, but im barrel chested and broad shouldered, so i cant blend in in public at all. being tall isnt all its cracked up to be :c

I never really paid any attention or gave a shit. Height is something beyond a person's control so mocking someone for their height is essentially on the same level as mocking someone for their race or nationality.
