That's what happens when everyone goes to college. Before, only people who were generally wealthy went to college, now people who are poor can go to college through student loans. It's lowering the quality of the degree. Wouldn't be surprised if companies in the future will require at the minimum a Master's degree.

Which in turns means a more skilled or informed workforce, but at the same time it means that meritocracies will be more on the spot to differentiate your average skilled worker, from someone who is worth your time.
