There's a difference between refusing a service on the basis of sexual orientation, and then refusing service because you don't want to support a particular political stance. A straight person could've placed this order, and the bakery would've refused it all the same.

"We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if we wish". And that's the way it should be.

I fully support the gay rights cause, but I wouldn't make that cake either.

I support the court's decision fully. Rejecting service based on feelings is idiotic. This goes for both sides of the issue. Rejecting service to people based on arbitrary reasons should be made illegal.

Are the proprietors wrong? Sure, but that doesn't mean their freedom of expression should be violated by forcing them to express something they disagree with, just to keep a gay wedding happy.
