If that's how science works, black holes wouldn't exist, let alone emit radiation. That kind of thinking has no place in any scientist's mind.

They originally couldn't, because they were an anomaly to what was considered untouchable theories. Want to know what we did afterwards when we found out they were real? The point is, science is about being open to changing what you already view as fact. If things don't add up you go back to the drawing board until they do.

Those can be backed up by mathematics. This thing cannot.
