Like I said, it's not some sort of secret. It's like you're asking me to provide proof that Obama is the president.
lmao

Dude, you've never been exactly transparent about your origins, and that's fine. But don't get all pissy with someone who made a modest mistake about where you come from. If you want to be identified as an American then clarify that.

Yeah no.

A slightly more reliable source, but nothing short of conjecture once again. I mean, it basically lists a bunch of Republicans that lean far to the right and the article tries to make a causal link between their political alignment and the Tea Party.

Sensationalist nonsense, if you ask me.

It's not the control they had a few years ago, but they're still a huge influence on the GOP and forces running candidates to to basically say "immigrants suck" to one crowd and "immigrants are the backbone of America" to another crowd.
As far as I can see given the evidence, all they're doing is throwing their dollars at the GOP. They're all bark but no bite.

You think you live in tyranny? HOLY SHIT LOL
Sorry Door, but ^

The West isn't perfect, but calling it tyrannical is trivialising what it means for tyranny to exist. You're massively lowering your expectations of what classifies as tyranny.

If the U.S. is tyrannical, then what the fuck is China, Russia, Iran, Hussein's Iraq, North Korea, Somalia, Taliban Afghanistan and Francoist Spain?
Meta Cognition has won this thread.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

You have no power and your vote doesn't mean shit. You have no real choices, the parties in power might as well be the same.

It's funny as shit that people in this country think their vote means something.
Yeah I knew you were gonna say this. You're the problem. You don't want to hear you're the problem and you'd rather sit there and leech off the efforts of those who spilled their blood for you to even say something so incredibly stupid. I'm sure you'll read that sentence and think "LOL TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN DIDNT DIE FOR MY FREEDOM". Not what I mean. I'm talking about the very creation of America. You're throwing away everything so many people died for.
Last I checked it was the dingleberries running our government that threw away everything so many people died for, not the people that refuse to support them.
Obama and his administration took America out of the gutter. Where the Republicans left it.
But it's still shit and he's part of a party of retards.
Then leave. If you think America is so shitty, if you're seriously that stupid and ignorant, leave.

America has improved big time during Obama's years as president. That's a fact.
I think anyone that's at least gotten through middle school can tell you that's a stupid argument and you really should feel ashamed for thinking that.
I think anyone that's gotten through middle school knows Anerica is far better under Obama.

Point is if you hate living there and aren't going to do anything to contribute, leave.
I'm contributing more brain cells than you, that's for sure.

I voted one time, and that was for Gary Johnson.  I don't plan to vote again.  Why?  Because I don't approve of the system.  The only reason to vote is to give your input on changing the system of government.  What if one of your core beliefs is that no one should have a monopoly on violence?  In this case, voting for either option is a vote against myself.

The state can be represented by a cattle ranch.  The bigger the government, the smaller the pen, and vice versa.  While voting may shrink or expand the size of the pen, it doesn't get rid of the problem (that is, the pen itself).

Get back to me when you can compile a ton of statistics and evidence to back up your claims that Obama has destroyed the country. And no, "republicansftw.freedom" isn't a reliable source.
I see that you have not learned to read at sufficient of a level to notice I never said Obama has destroyed the country.

It's like you want to have an argument for some reason when no right wing person will say the Tea Party didn't run the Republicans. They proudly talked about it. And there's nothing recent about it. It's been going on for quite a few years.
No it's really not. YOU are the one making the claim here, not me.

Like I said, if it's so blatant within the GOP, then it shouldn't be difficult to provide a semblance of solid evidence.

We always say to fight fire, you must use fire. This is wrong. Fighting fire with fire will leave scars and a new flame will rise. We must instead use water. It is the opposite of fire, it extinguishes the fire, it cools, it refreshes, it heals. We are made up of 70% water, we are not made up of 70% fire. Please practice what we truly are
When we don't vote for sane people like Gary Johnson, that is when we have problems. You can talk a good game, seem pretty on the outside, but if your inside is rotten, it'll show towards the end.. it always does.

The Tea Party movement is not a national political party; polls show that most Tea Partiers consider themselves to be Republicans[69][70] and the movement's supporters have tended to endorse Republican candidates.[71] Commentators, including Gallup editor-in-chief Frank Newport, have suggested that the movement is not a new political group but simply a re-branding of traditional Republican candidates and policies.[69][72][73] An October 2010 Washington Post canvass of local Tea Party organizers found 87% saying "dissatisfaction with mainstream Republican Party leaders" was "an important factor in the support the group has received so far".[74]

Sarah Palin headlined four "Liberty at the Ballot Box" bus tours, to raise money for candidates and the Tea Party Express. One of the tours visited 30 towns and covered 3,000 miles.[202] Following the formation of the Tea Party Caucus, Michele Bachmann raised $10 million for a political action committee, MichelePAC, and sent funds to the campaigns of Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio.[203] In September 2010, the Tea Party Patriots announced it had received a $1,000,000 USD donation from an anonymous donor.[204]

In an August 30, 2010, article in The New Yorker, Jane Mayer said that the billionaire brothers David H. Koch and Charles G. Koch and Koch Industries are providing financial and organizational support to the Tea Party movement through Americans for Prosperity, which David founded.[205][206] The AFP's "Hot Air Tour" was organized to fight against taxes on carbon use and the activation of a cap and trade program.[207] Former U.K. ambassador Sir Christopher Meyer wrote in the Daily Mail that the Tea Party movement is a mix of "grassroots populism, professional conservative politics, and big money", the last supplied in part by the Kochs.[208] Mayer says that the Koch brothers' political involvement with the Tea Party has been so secretive that she labels it "covert".[209]

Prominent individuals:

In June 2008, Congressman Dr. Ron Paul announced his non profit organization called Campaign for Liberty as a way of continuing the grassroots support involved in Ron Paul's 2007-2008 presidential run. This announcement corresponded with the suspension of his campaign.

In July 2010, Bachmann formed the House congressional Tea Party Caucus. This congressional caucus, which Bachmann chairs, is devoted to the Tea Party's stated principles of "fiscal responsibility, adherence to the Constitution, and limited government".[199] As of March 31, 2011, the caucus consisted of 62 Republican representatives.[76] Rep. Jason Chaffetz and Melissa Clouthier have accused them of trying to hijack or co-opt the grassroots Tea Party Movement.[200]

Here I was thinking everybody kept up with politics and knew who was running the show.
Yeah, this is influential. I never denied the influence the Tea Party has over the GOP.

Once again, sensationalist nonsense.

And for the George Carlin fans, if you don't vote, you can't complain. You're like the guy not helping to put out the fire.
Just for the record Carlin said the opposite.
He said he doesn't vote so he gets to complain. Which was more a punchline and less a political statement.

"Ornate chandeliers suspended from a vaulted ceiling lit the spacious chamber; Jack tilted his gaze overhead and noticed how far away they were.  His thoughts wove around those bright lights, like a dance of ether masses spiraling in precious unison. Why must we try to clutch desperately for the mere threads of this world when we can clasp onto a tapestry of untold magnificence beyond this plane of existence?"
I recall when Obama was considered a master orator, back in like '07

emigrate or degenerate. the choice is yours

Holy shit this guy is orange.
I fail to see what this has to do with the Tea Party besides the clickbait title.

"Republicans win congress"

"OMG TEA PARTY IS BEHIND IT ALL"

Wait what? I meant it's no secret the Tea Party has a huge influence on the Republican party.

Because they're Tea Party? I don't understand why you're treating what I'm saying like some sort of outlandish claim. I'm not saying the republicans are run by space Nazis, I'm saying the Tea Party has a huge influence on them. That's just fact, there isn't even anything to discuss.
There is a stark difference between influencing and actually running, unless you were being hyperbolic in your previous statement.
There isn't when they literally ran the party until recently and still have such a large influence they force all Republicans to adhere to their ideals.
Ran the party? When did this occur?
I'm not understanding the confusion.

Do you follow American politics at all?
I do actually.

Since I'm unfamiliar with this recent Tea Party overhaul within the GOP, all I'm asking is for you to provide proof for these assertions. It shouldn't really be that much of a burden if it's so evident, right?

And if you actually do follow American politics as you claim to, you'd know how many Tea Party members are Republican politicians.

As if the GOP isn't bad enough, they're controlled by practical fascists. They're against equality socially and economically. Not sure why you're trying to down play it this much when you have no fucking clue how crazy right wing politicians are in America and actually think they're a viable choice for government.
I think it's like what 40/50% of Republicans identify as a member? Obviously not an ideal percentage, but it's not exactly a complete assimilation, is it? Certainly not the level of control you're making it to be anyway. If you've got any solid statistics that prove me wrong, I'd certainly like to see it.

Economically incompetent? Nah bro. Most of their economic policies actually make a lick of sense with the exception of healthcare. I know you like to jump the gun with anything that even hints at leaning slightly conservative or right wing, but if you actually take the time to research what these policies aim to do, you'd support them as well. Of course you wont, because you just want to maintain the status quo of sensationalist Republican bashing.
