It depends on the sector they're involved with. Different sectors require different methods of operating their business. Since Musk is in the technology sector (what I'd consider experimental technology), then it only makes sense that he attempts to innovate. But other sectors don't really need unnecessary improvements. Musk isn't really doing anything that hasn't been done before technologically. Telsa is basically an improvement of EV's and SpaceX is basically using the concepts of aerospace engineering that we've seen in the 20th century. I'd consider him a business innovator more than anything really.
