It's interesting, and I think he's right on the fundamentalist bit. But in terms of people wanting boundaries? Maybe to some level, but I think people also want the knowledge they can feel and say what they want without fear of being jailed as well. At least in the West.

I agree to a degree. He's right about the building blocks things, not just with foreign countries but even between generations. I'm sure that the who SJWs and the offshoots aren't the majority, but that fact that they're sizable enough more or less proves his point. In this case I mean like younger generations feeling that more should be provided for them, of course through taxes, but they don't look at the bigger picture. And among other countries, freedom of speech and the right to bear arms isn't a God-given human right as it is in the US (for now at least). Eh I think I'm going off topic. But I think the speech doesn't pertain to America as much as it does other western countries and their younger populations. It's kind of Sad! honestly.

People--be it individuals or societies--need to feel in control of change. Iraq was such a disaster because of Paul Bremer's asinine policies which effectively dissolved all legitimate power in the country, requiring a decade of work just to try to bring it back to its condition immediately following the (highly successful) invasion. And it's bullshit to say it's never worked; look at Germany, Japan, Grenada, Panama, Afghanistan, and even Vietnam, to some extent.

Not after the Iraq disaster, no. The government we installed gave no voice to the opposing religious sect and it made it even worse. That along with butchering almost all of the former government.

Iraq (and Afghanistan) has made us weary to get into any conflict. At least for the next decade or so.
