Please explain to me why, assuming god exists, I should worship him knowing that he, an all-powerful, all-knowing, and supposedly all-loving being allows rape to occur.

The free will argument resonates with me on this instance. However, the nature of God's plan, vicarious redemption, original sin, the afterlife and eschatology all interfere with this sacred notion of free will.

That, and I don't believe in free will in the first place.

Just because he phrased it abrasively doesn't mean it isn't a good question.

The reason why rape (and things like that) exists is because the world is evil and corrupted (due to Satan). The reason God allows this to occur is because, since all of existence is evil and corrupted (including humans), the only way to get rid of evil would be to destroy it, which would include destroying everything on the face of the Earth. God doesn't want to destroy humanity, so he offers another way.

That's where Salvation comes in. God allows a way out of this existence via salvation, which means that we are freed from our sinful nature.

23 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the way, young lads came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!” 24 When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number. 25 And he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.

First off, it wasn't children; they were young men. Hebrew for "lad" is Na'ar, which is a time in life ranging around 13-29 so not all nor any of them were children.

Secondly, the bears were sent because a man spreading the word of God was being attacked and ridiculed by these 42 people who were under the direction of Satan. If God had not intervened at the wish of one of the student's of the man, the group would have killed the man

Thirdly, who actually knows if 2 bears were sent? The moral of this story however shows that God does not take lightly people hindering his word by his followers and it's wrong to attack a person for faith
