Y'know, I have no problem with people adjusting their political affiliation based on their beliefs, but to say things like "once I realized how the world worked and grew up" implies that people who aren't Republicans don't understand how the world works and aren't "grown up"

1982-1995 didn't give a flying fuck, I was a kid
1996-2000 moved towards government control and conservatism and all that shit
2001-2006/7 I was going hardcore freedom/liberal motherfucker up in this bitch.
2007-2010 I seemed to be heading towards a neutral stance about that point, it's when I began travelling a lot, experiencing so many different lifestlyes, and going to a lot of rallies n shit to see their perspectives
2011-now Completely and whole-heartedly neutral on things, I've seen both sides of the spectrum, and choose to be in the middle.

Not really. It didn't work for Fascist Italy or Nazi Germany, it especially didn't work for the Soviets, it didn't work for the Maoists and it didn't work for various African nations.

In fact, I'd wager all developed countries - especially the most developed - got that way by embracing capitalism. If you can name me one country where central planning of the economy worked, I'll renounce capitalism and buy a big marble bust of Lenin.
