Consumer Trading Laws - Should businesses be open on a sunday?

In bongistan, most places are only allowed to be open from 10am-4pm (approx) and some businesses aren't altogether <.<
How does it work in clapistan?
Do you think they should be allowed to open/trade as usual on a sunday?

I think the business should be able to be open what ever hours they want.

I don't get why we regulate this; let the business be open as long as management wants. I always get some sperglords turning up half an hour after the store has closed, which is only 4.

Business can stay open 24/7 365 days a year if they want.

Most don't though because it ends up running negative due to the fact that they aren't don't even make enough money to cover the cost of keeping the lights on during certain hours or days.

If they did they would though.

And I think the important thing to note is that whilst the UK is still a christian country on paper, religious stances have taken a backseat to social policies for a while now. That and the CofE is one of the most lax churches I've ever encountered, none of the psychotic fire and brimstone you get from Catholicism and none of the hardline puritan stuff either >_>

But yes, it is mildly amusing that bongistan is still a religious country, even if religion has been declining in favour of secularism for a while now.

We are also mostly spared the insufferable atheists too, apathy is the prevailing opinion in britain heh.

Just some of the statements of previous, high-ranking clergymen. Graham Dow, for instance, said the '09 floods in Yorkshire were because of homosexuality. And then there's the issue of the Lords Spiritual in the Parliament who vote as a bloc to pass laws respecting abortion or euthanasia >.>

Maybe they aren't quite as harmless after all, but I would certainly rather keep them than trade them for some of the zealous lunatics in the states or the vatican ._.
