Canada considering changing national anthem

So, the last few days I was in Canada for business and the big thing that people were talking about was the possible change to their national anthem. Apparently they want to change the anthem from “all thy sons command,” with “all of us command.”

I don't really care either way, but should an anthem change to reflect the times? Is this a waste of legislation when a nation has bigger issues to worry about?

Absolutely a good thing.

All gender mentions in any official media, other than those that actually pertain to gender, should be removed. There's no reason for them whatsoever, and when the only justification you have is "but that's how it's always been", it's just sexist to not remove them.

I'm Canadian and I didn't know this but cool. I can't remember the last time I repeated the national anthem but still cool.

Apparently we're proposing a bill to legalise marijuana in june 2018 next month as well.
