The reason you see more riots is because in the digital age, everyone has access to cameras. Black communities have always been afraid of cops, and for good reason in places like inner cities, and we've heard of times where cops beat blacks.

A lot of these people have a reason to be fearful, and if you think there isn't a negative stigma towards blacks, it just proves how naive you are.

Is there still negative stigma? Yes. Is it anywhere near where it used to be or near where the level these isolated communities have construed it be? No.

Most of these self contained black communities have this thought that the whole world is against them, and that anyone who isn't black wants them dead or out of the country. Which, ironically is a racist thought in of itself. 

Do cops kill black people? Yes, but they also kill every other race, and whites are still the majority of that matter. Often times the people they kill deserve it or give them reason to. Of course, there is the off chance that a corrupt cop will kill when not necessary, which is a minority. However, the media today seems to want you to believe differently.

And as far as protesting and rioting goes, these communities in Ferguson and Baltimore don't want race equallity. They want blacks to be excused for crimes, to be above the law. Because,  apparently someone who robs a convienent store is a kind hearted man, and it's a racist act to arrest him.

I was just watching an interview with a rioter who burned down his own house. Lol

This seems like the London Riots, started out a peaceful protest over alleged questionable police force resulting in a death, then drew out the hooligans who were in it for looting shops and bags of Tesco Value Rice. They were handled pretty well, police arrested the outliers that could be reached during the riots and then imposed sentences for people after the riots were quelled.

Also, using live rounds is a bit excessive isn't it? I'd at least build up from the standard police to  giving them riot gear and maybe rubber bullets/bean bag rounds at worst. At least this had a build-up, when riots sprang out in NI there was no fuss about using rubber bullets straight away, and that turned out just great...

I would consider the assassination of the most influential African American of all time to be a bit different than this case.

Now that we always get it on video and it spreads, it is different because people are actually seeing it, and when one camera gets taken away (like that woman recording state police last week), there is always going to be another recording.

A lot of these people have a reason to be fearful, and if you think there isn't a negative stigma towards blacks, it just proves how naive you are.

This has more to do with it being a statist issue, rather than a race related issue. Caucasians are killed just as much by law enforcement agencies, if not slightly more than African Americans, depending on what statistics you chase up.

I agree that police brutality has gone off the rails in the US. The evidence is certainly demonstrable that cops are given way too much leeway and power in America., but is it entirely exclusive to the black community? Absolutely not. This is an encompassing problem that effects everyone, not just a specific demographic.

Well, after night 2 of curfew things seem to be ready to return to a relative normality.

I was being sarcastic as fuck. I think that the fact that cops who do shit like that aren't prosecuted is an outrage.

I don't envy police officers.  It must be hard having to deal with riots because a bunch of uninformed chimps immediately think "PUHLEESE BRUTALITY " or take advantage of an unrest just to get free shit.
