Anyone making fun of McCain needs to check themselves

First of all, we can establish that although McCain has delusionally aligned himself with the ideology of inequality and hate, he himself is a good man who has served his country and species so well.

McCain passed his wireless microphone to one woman who said, "I can't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's not, he's not uh — he's an Arab. He's not — " before McCain retook the microphone and replied:

"No, ma'am. He's a decent family man [and] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues and that's what this campaign's all about. He's not [an Arab]."

That out of the way, this is all that needs to be said about McCain's remarks to Comey and the public's reaction to them:

tbh I don't even see what the issue is. I don't think his point was difficult to make out. He slipped up by swapping Trump's and Comey's names, but he was clearly trying to ask why Comey seemed to be treating Clinton's investigation very differently from how he's treating Trump's.

It seems like the question wasn't really formulated before the hearing, but a few things Comey said stuck with him and he tried to cogently get his point across, and mostly failed. I don't really think his POW status has anything to do with leniency about his work as a Senator, though.

McCain is a great man and honestly deserves more respect than he is given. He genuinely believes in doing the right thing.

I don't think it was ever proven and if so, he probably gave them worthless information. Other than Tet, the NVA never really scored any major military victories during the war.

Minor pieces of info mixed with lies. I doubt any Vietnam POW could say they gave up nothing. Claims that he did anything beyond that are entirely unsupported.
