Yep, I've been on twitter and his head was placed on his back. Poor guy, what was he thinking? Going to Syria in a time like this. RIP

James Foley, an American journalist who went missing in Syria more than a year ago, has reportedly been executed by the Islamic State, a militant group formerly known as ISIS.

A YouTube video and photos purportedly of Foley emerged on Tuesday. The video -- entitled "A Message to #America (from the #IslamicState)" -- identified a man on his knees as "James Wright Foley," and showed his beheading.

"This is James Wright Foley, an American citizen of your country," an Islamic State militant says in the video, which has since been removed by YouTube. "As a government, you have been at the forefront of the aggression towards the Islamic State. You have plotted against us and have gone far out of your way to find reasons to interfere in our affairs. Today, your military air force is attacking us daily in Iraq, your strikes have caused casualties among Muslims."

Get the free Syria army to be your soldiers on the ground and attack IS strongholds. Attacking cities would cause too many casualties.

If the USA is determined not to get involved, then at least allow the Russkies to bail out their pals.

I'm pretty sure that the NUSSR would have been helping out Assad from day one if the US/NATO wasn't determined to cockblock them in the UNSC <.< Or even better, suck it up and offer to form a coalition with Iran, Syria, Iraq and anyone else who wants to join in the fight and just annihilate ISIS that way ._.

Let's dispel this myth right here. IS ARE trained. They ARE competent. And that is why an Army of 30,000 men is able to take on the 500,000 men of the Iraqi army, the 60-70,000 men of the Peshmerga, the 20-30,000 men of the PKK, the 130,000 men of the Syrian Army and all of the armed tribes in the Syria and Iraq regions.

The biggest display of IS competence thus far is the actual establishment and maintenance of media black zones for operation security and the use of indirect fire weapons in large numbers as soon as they were captured from Syrian army and Iraqi army bases.
