Here's a recently released video of a police shooting that shows just how fast they happen and how ridiculous the argument of shooting someone in the knee to incapacitate them is.

Well, for starters, police officers aren't trained to do "trick shots."

They've always been trained to shoot for the center of mass because it's the tried and true, best and easiest target to hit. It's the same for the military as well.

You don't go for the mlg quickscope shit. Anybody who says shoot the kneecaps is stupid. Unless you have, say a shotgun, then you can go for the legs if you want.

Of course that's counter productive because a shotgun would probably blow their legs off anyway. Long story short.

Nothing fancy. Just what's tried and true.

Pretty much because it establishes whether or not your opponent knows jack shit about what they're talking about. If they say "SHOOT 'EM IN THE LEG" you know you're dealing with a retard

I don't care who you are if you had a gun and that guy pulled one out on you you would gun him down. Shooting him in the knee isn't going to stop him being a threat. That wasn't a knife he was holding, it was a gun that looked like a real gun at first. If Cam wasn't banned I bet he would be in this thread bitching about how wrong those cops were for doing what they did.

more likely a buck shot wound would bleed out more quickly even in the leg.

I love that video. It has all the checkpoints for "media sensation".

"No shots fired at the cops, just a toy gun, shot in the back, shot X amount of times, shot for petty theft."

All it would've needed was for the dude to be black and it would've been a media sensation.

Unfortunately, video puts a stop to that shitty sensationalism.
