Well, not to say it's over, but that it's not in their favor. I also saw a video of citizens disarming them. A lot of Turks apparently like the current government.

According to CNN, it's unclear as to who has control right now.

Not really a surprise - as powerful as a city Istanbul is, the military is focused on taking Ankara. Erdogan will speak from elsewhere to show that neither side has truly consolidated power.

Parliament Speaker Ismail Kahraman says a bomb hit one corner of a public relations building inside the parliament complex, injuring some police officers.

He says there are no fatalities and that all legislators are safe at a parliamentary shelter.

Meanwhile in Istanbul, an official at the president's office says more than 50 military officers have been arrested in Istanbul and large crowds have carried out multiple citizen arrests.

Turkish TV channels are broadcasting scenes of soldiers being escorted away by policemen.

From what I understand: The military controls Ankara, and Erdogan controls Istanbul. It isn't clear yet if any side has emerged victorious.

This is what I've come to understand.
