Bans don't affect your titles or trust rating, only as long as you have a warning level is your custom stuff effected.

Once you hit the traget number of posts you should just unlock it. It is a dumb system having to be up voted to get it when people just can down vote you because they don't like you or for a joke.

Upvotes and downvotes only account for around 10% of the progress needed to get a nameplate, even then, it can be completely ignored with enough time online unless the entire site downvotes you daily for a week or an admin interferes with your profile.
