Before we introduce any themed boards, like an Anime board, or a gallery board, we need to consider something important.

The Flood is shitpost central, and it's no secret that a lot of users are turned off by that. Dank maymays and Autism® and Lᴇ Eʙɪɴ Rᴜsᴇᴍ™ threads are running rampant across the Flood and drowning out all serious discussion.

The Serious board however is meant for political threads, and current events.
The Flood needs to become a haven for casual discussion on intersting topics, I therefore propose a radical solution.

Well, yes, that's true.
I myself am incredibly guilty of enjoying a shitpost or two.

So in addition to this proposition, I have yet another.
The creation of a shitposting board, that abides by the current rules of the Flood.
This would essentially be Sep7's version of [s4s], which moot created to clean up discussion on other boards.

It is my opinion, that the creation of such a board would vastly improve discussion value on not only the Flood, but also Gaming.

This is true, our little one weekend purge is effective at keeping NSFW and user attacks down during the blunt of the month, however those unsavory activities are not the root of the problem which we are currently addressing.

And it has the same effect.
