The Cookie Game!

What if there was a neat little meta game in the site that involved a little searching. Little clickable cookies would be placed cleverly on the site behind letters in the logo, in pinned threads, all over the place. You would have to pay close attention to find one.

All of this would count up on a leaderboard and the #1 spot would get a special custom nameplate "COOKIE MONSTER"

Not only would this bring fun to the site, but it would draw notice to pinned threads too and other ones. What do you guys think of this?

Another search game, would involve all kinds of custom nameplates that are categorized my how rare they are. You would have to search for those too.

I don't see it going down well, on top of being an effort that could be spent improving the current site, you've no guarantee of users liking or bothering with the feature.
And having leaderboards for a game of "Where's Waldo" just seems... Like you're desperate for people to use the function.

Isara already has a game set up here, why not just make a few more and make them well?
It's all a gimmick anyway. people should be here for the community and using the forum, trying to add a draw like this isn't a bad thing, I just don't see it being effective enough to warrant the time and effort.

I would agree with you except for the "gimmick" part.
Sure it's a gimmick but it's cool nonetheless.
