Okay. Let's be frank here. I'm the very fucking reason why you can't call out members. Everyone knows this, because I got fucking butthurt and caused an alteration in the rules. All because I come from a hugbox community (I still hate that term it sounds like a gay orgy, where do you people come up with this shit?)

But in all honestly, fuck me, fuck how I feel, who gives a shit? Just because I get pissy doesn't mean the entire forum should be punished.

I've noticed that you can call out staff but not members.... That's stupid. Staff are still members of the site. They just have tools to enforce the rules. That's really it.

So what gives? Either it shouldn't be allowed at all, or the other should be allowed.

I think it should be changed to "Calling out members in a malicious or deregotary manner is forbidden", so that it's clearer that it's only a problem if the person being called out finds it one. I've been "called out" before, but I didn't mind.

It wasn't done for you deci, it was done because of the incessant flamewars that people liked to start with each other. It's also common sense to not let a thread like X User is a FUCKING FAGGOT GOD DAMN™ fly.

Generally if a thread is calling someone out and it seems to be joking, I'll wait and see if the user in question reports it. If they do, it'll get locked without question but more often than not people have the maturity to not just scream and cry at being called out in a bit of brash humour.

Staff also generally don't care about being called out because if they couldn't handle a bit of PSYCHOLOGY IS A PSEUDOSCIENCE/YOUR WAIFU IS SHIT/KILL YOURSELF YOU GOD DAMN KIKE  then I doubt they'd make good or even passable staff members.
