Would this ban someone for not labeling a spoiler? What If its just some random shit?NoAccidental spoilers wouldn't result in a ban. Just a polite request to label it as such.So I couldn't do this? I'm not for a stricter ruleset, just a more consistent one, and if you do somehow manage to break the rules, suffer harsher punishment.
Quote from: Prime Snake on August 30, 2015, 01:14:36 AMLike, for how many months after MGS5 is released should spoilers be punishable?3 months seems reasonable to me.I originally said 3 weeks but maybe that would be for more severe punishments.Ideally, the punishment starts off more severe the closer we are to release date.
Like, for how many months after MGS5 is released should spoilers be punishable?
And if you do happen to break the 3 rules we haveyou deserve a severe punishment. End of story.
Layering timeframes for different punishments is a little over-complicated, don't you think?
Ideally, it should be a strict "x days minimum" with punishment length increasing with successive bans. This, of course, all takes place within the time frame of whatever is considered "spoiler free".

Spoiler threads are fair game though, as long as the title is labelled as such, because they're intended for spoiler discussion
In general, I think a 24 hour ban should be limited to forced cool-off time for people who are getting overtly temperamental in a discussion and refuse to calm down after moderator requests. A 3-day minimum on bans just seems to be a good balance between punishment and the need for activity.

I'd do it but clearly my ideals don't line up with everyoneas long as thread-specific temporary permissions and harsher bans are included i'm good
