Match the background with the forum bar

Would it be possible to match the background color with the color of the forum? Like right now its purple on the bar and the background is blue. Could you make it so that it is purple on the background as well?

That's possible, but I'm not sure how well it would work. Red is pretty harsh in large quantities.
